The Hull munch is a friendly, informal gathering for people with an interest in BDSM. It takes place on the third Saturday of each month at 2pm, in the back room of the Polar Bear on Spring Bank in Hull, and it goes on until about six. Here's a map to the pub.

The munch is largely a vanilla event, so ordinary clothing is recommended. Keeping things discreet means that those of us who cannot afford to be outed — for career or personal reasons — can feel safe in attending. That being said, the Polar Bear is a gay pub: they accept us kinky types, even when we're straight.

This is a BDSM event rather than a swingers' night. If you want to talk about BDSM (even if you're just trying to get a handle on what strange things your loved ones are into), it's for you. However, the swingers out there (and you know who you are) might feel a bit bored unless they enjoy a little "Ouch!" or "Obey!" along with their "Ooh!".
In case you were wondering — yes, you are (at least relatively) normal; you're unlikely to turn into a drooling maniac because you like B&D, D&S, or S&M. Come along and find out just how ordinary we can be.
